Château Valtice

The history of wine making in Château Valtice winery dates back to the 15th century. The wine making here survived the 30-year war, the Great War and the Second World War. The name  Château Valtice became synonomous for superior wines which have been representing the Moravian wine industry home and abroad for hundreds of years.

The Château Valtice company is the biggest wine grower in the Czech Republic, yearly processing around 5 000 tons of grapes that come from vineyards lining the Austrian boarder from Valtice, through to Mikulov, Dolni Dunajovice to Drnholec.  Using the most modern processes, including controlled fermentation, the company produces 4 millions  bottles of wine a year.
